Frequently asked questions

BEFORE CLASS:

  • Will I get recipes + a grocery list before class? Right after signing up, you will receive a confirmation email with a PDF attached that includes recipes, a grocery list + a prep list. If you don’t receive it for any reason, please check your spam/junk folder. If you still don’t see the confirmation email, just let Julia know. Also free to be in touch if you have any questions about ingredients!!

  • When will I get the Zoom link for class? It is included in your class PDF, but you will also get an email one hour before class with the link.

  • If I want to cook along, what should I do to prepare? Check out the prep list on the PDF.

  • Are classes vegetarian/vegan-friendly? Definitely! Most of Julia’s recipes are vegetarian/vegan and when they are not, she can share ideas on how to adapt them. If you have a question about adapting a recipe (for any reason!), just get in touch with Julia.

  • How much is a class? Sliding scale starting at $40 (up to whatever you want!) for the regular 90 minute classes (1 hour Kids Cooking Hour! classes are just $25 / No Judgment classes are sliding scale starting at $0). You can also purchase a five class package for $185 ($37/class) or a ten class package for $350 ($35/class).

  • What if I’d really like to take class but can’t afford to? Just get in touch— we can work something out.

  • Are classes refundable? Classes are nonrefundable, but they are recorded so if your schedule changes (or whatever!), no worries— you will receive a recording of class that you can watch anytime that works for you.

  • What if there are two (or more) of us taking class together (joining on one device)— do we need to buy two tickets? If that’s within your budget, it’s the most direct way to support Julia’s work and is much appreciated. If not, it’s okay to just purchase one ticket.

DURING CLASS:

  • Do I have to cook along? You certainly can! Or you can just watch. Whatever you want!

  • Do I have to have my camera on? You are welcome to, but it’s okay if you’re more comfortable with it turned off.

  • Is closed captioning available? Yes!

  • Will extra tips + ideas be shared? Soooooo many! Julia offers TONS of ideas for variations on the recipes, tips for reheating, thoughts about repurposing leftovers, and more throughout class.

  • Can I ask questions during class? Yes! They’re encouraged!

AFTER CLASS:

  • I attended class and want to rewatch it/I signed up and couldn’t attend live — how do I access the recording? You will get an email from Julia after class that includes a link to the recording that never expires so you can access it anytime!

  • I couldn’t attend live and am watching the recording and have a question — what do I do? No problem, just get in touch!

ADDITIONAL FAQs:

  • Can I gift Julia’s classes? You sure can! You can purchase gift cards for whatever amount you’d like right here. Gift cards are custom checkout codes that are sent to you upon purchase and you can share those with your recipient whenever you’d like, giving you a bit more control with timing. It’s nice to write this code down in a card! These codes can be used for upcoming LIVE classes AND for previously recorded classes in Julia’s on-demand library.

  • Is there something I can print to give as a gift? There sure is! Here you go!

  • What if I missed a class that I now want to take? You’re in luck! All of Julia’s classes are recorded and available for purchase in her on-demand library (all of these classes include a PDF with recipes + a grocery list).

  • Does Julia offer private classes? She sure does! Just scroll down to the bottom of this page for more information.

  • I have a question that wasn’t answered here— what do I do? Get in touch!
